EFCC publishes full updated list of N10.9bn assets seized from ‘military officer’

The Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), on Tuesday, released an updated list of property seized from an unnamed ‘senior military officer’. The new list contains 24 real estate assets valued at 10.9 billion naira, a sharp increase from the 3 billion naira given as property values ​​in the commission’s earlier statement on Monday. An Abuja Federal High Court judge, Nkeoya Maha, issued a final asset forfeiture order to the federal government on Monday, EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren revealed in an earlier statement. According to the commission, the assets include some nine service stations with a total of 300 pumps spread across Kano. They also include an LPG plant with 30 stores, an event center, a three-story plaza with 28 stores, and a block industry, all in Kano. “The 24 properties spread across the states of Kano, Kaduna, Borno and Cross River comprise land, commercial complexes, gas stations and fuel stations cumulatively valued at N10,935,000,000.00.
