Fayemi promises a modern security approach

Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi says he will introduce modern technology to provide security across the country if he is elected president in 2023. Fayemi, one of the challengers on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, had this to say on Saturday in Jos during his interaction with party delegates. “I will improve intelligence gathering and processing and significantly introduce the use of technology; satellite technology and drones in managing security challenges. “These are fundamentals that we must do because the other side of security is development. “You can’t have development if you don’t have security and you can’t have security if you don’t have development,” he observed. Mr. Fayemi also told delegates that he would work hard to strengthen national cohesion, delegating responsibilities and resources to sub-national levels. “I know what the states are going through and I know that we can build a partnership that works, a partnership that can strengthen the unity of Nigeria and that the partnership does not need to be top down.
