How they buried my father in a car

Simon Odo, a native doctor popularly known as the King of Satan, was buried in a car, not a coffin, when he passed away in December last year in Enugu Statesoutheastern Nigeria, his son told PREMIUM TIMES. Mr. Odo’s death went viral on the internet after reports emerged that he had married 59 wives and had more than 300 children and grandchildren. Chinenye Simon told PREMIUM TIMES during an interview in March that her late father was buried in a car. He is the third of many sons of man. “They called a caterpillar that dug his grave because they buried him in a car. According to them, he said to be buried in a car, not a coffin,” he said. His burial was done in a traditional way, called Ukonu, with incantations, Simon said. Mr. Simon, before his father’s death, had renounced traditional religion and later became the pastor of a Pentecostal church. the lord’s chosen church. At 14, they had begun grooming him to succeed his father. He said he did not know the make of the car his father was buried with because he deliberately stayed away from the grave during funeral rites. Simon, now 40, said he and his father were involved in a protracted physical and spiritual struggle over differences in their religion. “It was a very tough battle,” he said. “He tried everything to eliminate me, but he couldn’t. In the end he confessed to me that I am his son, that he couldn’t do anything, that he did everything he could, but he couldn’t do anything. And he said: ‘Go ahead, serve that your God. That your God is a true God.’ “I preached to him and at one point he told me that I had to leave his house because it had nothing to do with Jesus. (And) that Jesus did not give him money. That the one who gave him money was Satan and it is Satan that he would follow. “I told him that Jesus was the owner of his life. He got angry and asked me to leave his house. He took a gun and used it to chase me away, even though I was stubbornly standing (there). It was the people around me who told me to leave and I left.” No ritual slaughter Simon said his father was kind and generous to people, and was never involved in ritual killing. “People used to come to him to kill someone for them, but he would tell them that he doesn’t kill. Sometimes he would gather the people who asked him to kill and he would summon the people who asked him to kill them and say, ‘Look at the people who asked me to kill you, but I don’t kill.’” The lord made his money through the charms he sold to politicians, drug lords and even pastors, the son said. He said that the King of Satan accepted Jesus Christ before he died. PREMIUM TIMES asked him how many children his father had. “To be honest, I don’t know how many of us are in the family,” he replied. “I can walk past some of my brothers without recognizing them. But the ones I meet before I leave town, whenever I see them, I’ll recognize them. The ones that were born after I left town, I don’t know except if I go home and start asking questions,” he added. PREMIUM TIMES asked Mr. Simon if his father married women who couldn’t afford his services as a native doctor. “Like some people, they came with one disease or another. And after curing them, I don’t know what happened, the next thing was that my father went to his house and married them. But I don’t know if it was because they couldn’t complete their payment,” he replied.
