Showmax Releases Trailer For Epic Action African Fantasy Series, ‘Blood Psalms’

Showmax has released the trailer for Blood Psalms, an epic action-packed African fantasy series. A co-production with CANAL+, Blood Psalms will premiere on September 22 with new episodes every Wednesday for 11 weeks. Set in ancient Africa, a thousand days after the fall of Atlantis, ‘Blood Psalms’ explores the history of the five surviving houses of Kemet as they find themselves plagued by fears of a prophesied end of days. Bokang Phelane has the role of a lifetime as Princess Zazi, a fiercely determined teenage princess. She must navigate primordial curses, long-standing ancestral vendettas, and an unexplained role as the foremost herald of dooming prophecy. Mothusi Magano, winner of four SAFTAs and an award from the African Film Academy (LOVE TO), plays his father, the mad king Letsha.
