The governors of the six states in the southwestern region have declared three days of mourning for the victims of the terrorist attack on the Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, State of Ondo. The statement read in part: “Governors agreed to declare a 3-day period of mourning in memory of the victims of the June 5, 2022 terror attack at St Francis Catholic, Owaluwa Street, Owo, Ondo State, beginning Monday. June 13th. to Wednesday June 15, 2022 to symbolize our collective loss in all states of South West Nigeria. “The meeting agreed that all governors should mandate the flying of flags at half-staff at all public buildings, facilities, and official residences in all southwestern states in honor of the victims of the Owo terrorist attack,” the statement read. part.
