Tributes as the famous actress, Ada Ameh, is buried in Benue (PHOTOS)

It was an emotionally charged atmosphere in Benue state, where Nollywood gathered to bid farewell to one of their own, Ada Ameh, on Friday morning. The talented actress, who died at a state hospital in Warri, Delta, on July 17, was laid to rest in her hometown Ogobia at Otukpo LGA. Also present at the funeral were Benue State Deputy Governor Benson Abounu, Benue South Senator Abba Moro and AGN President Emeka Rollas. Her best friend Empress Njamah was captured at the funeral crying uncontrollably. Last week, the cast and crew of ‘The Johnsons’ held a night of honor to celebrate his life and times. The event labeled ‘The Johnsons Tribute Night for Emuakpor’ was held at Freedom Park, Lagos. ‘It’s a wrap.’ Shortly before the late actress was laid to rest, Charles Inojie, one of her closest friends in the industry, wrote her a moving tribute. Inojie, her on-screen husband on ‘The Johnsons’, captioned the tribute ‘It’s A Wrap For Ada Ameh’. He wrote: “There is a chip in us. Deadpan and ice cream. There lies a broken heirloom wrapped in a funeral wrapper. “In that airtight wooden bed is our naked truth. No matter what differences we care about, you can never tell how much of us is in them. We are spreading love beyond the limits of our comfortable thresholds. Until the twilights darken at the unforeseen hour. “When the once sonorous symphony fades forever into the morbid horizons of life’s ‘curtain fall’.” Ada Ameh: A true lover of God Giving a sermon at her tribute night last week, Sylvester Ebhodaghe, a pastor, noted that ever since his brief encounter with her, the late actress truly loved God. How are you running your race? What life are you living? She has lived her life. “We are all God’s creation. No one is born into this world by chance. No one is here without a purpose. Background Born on May 15, 1974 in Ajegunle, Lagos, the famous actress lived a hectic life, starring in some of the most critically acclaimed Nollywood movies. Her breakout role was in the 1996 movie ‘Domitilla,’ which by the way received a reboot this year. From there, he appeared in many acclaimed movies and television series. Until his passing, he played Emuakpor Johnson in the long-running television series ‘The Johnsons’.
